Background

We partnered with Our Future Health to inspire engagement and explain the programme’s role in shaping the future of healthcare, using animated explainer videos and printed materials – including annual reports – to effectively communicate their mission.

The Brief

Our Future Health is the UK’s largest health research programme, aiming to revolutionise the way we fight disease by collecting information from millions of volunteers across the UK. The initiative aims to create a detailed picture of the nation’s health, paving the way for innovative healthcare solutions and medical breakthroughs.

As a creative partner, we’ve supported Our Future Health from its early stages, helping communicate their mission to the public. Our role has been to bring their story to life through a variety of channels, including animated explainer videos and printed materials.

Video Production

Making health research accessible

Our initial work with the Our Future Health team focussed on developing a series of animated explainer videos using their distinctive branding. These animations were designed to convey the importance of their work, how the research programme functions, and why public participation is essential. These videos serve as crucial tools to explain complex concepts to potential participants, stakeholders, and the wider public.

We worked closely with the Our Future Health team to refine the script, ensuring the narrative was clear, engaging, and aligned with their messaging goals. The scripts simplified medical and research topics into digestible, everyday language. We also coordinated the voiceover recording process, ensuring a tone that was both authoritative and approachable.

The animations incorporated clean, modern visuals, adhering to the Our Future Health brand guidelines. They balanced accessibility with a sense of professionalism, using vibrant colours and simple icons to emphasise the long-term benefits of health research for future generations while addressing any concerns potential participants might have.

Following the initial explainer videos project, we’ve continued to create video content for a range of audiences for Our Future Health, including internal communications, training, and for external audiences.

Print Materials

Creative collaboration

In addition to video content, we’ve continued to work with Our Future Health on a variety of print projects. This includes designing and producing annual reports that communicate the programme’s progress and future plans, as well as patient information packs that are distributed to participants. These materials ensure that all audiences, from key stakeholders to everyday citizens, stay informed about the project’s milestones and impact.

By maintaining a consistent visual and narrative style across both digital and print media, we’ve helped Our Future Health build a cohesive and recognisable brand presence.
